The Spitfire Family would like to thank all of those who participated in our 1^st annual “Christmas for the Kids” event on Monday.  The kids from the Impacto Program at the Dolores Mission in Boyle Heights came down to spent the day with us.  The weather was beautiful and the kids caught lots of fish and enjoyed a boat ride that included the company of some dolphins and pilot whales.  Afterwards, we had lunch at Delzano’s and Santa showed up to lead the crowd in some Christmas carols and hand out presents.  Everyone had a great time and the smiles on the kid’s faces were priceless.  Along with the day’s festivities, we were able to present the program with a donation to help them continue the great work they do with the kids in their community. Through all of the hard work and generosity of those involved, we were able to raise over $2,000 for the Impacto program!!!  This event was a huge success and we thank all of you who helped make it possible.  This truly was a team effort and is proof of what can be accomplished when people get together to help others.

We want to thank all of those who came out to fish for free with us yesterday and donate their fish to the Dolores Mission in Boyle Heights.  We all had a fantastic day! The weather was beautiful and we were able to load up on salmon grouper, sculpin, whitefish, red snapper, rockfish and sand bass.  The Rocky Point joined us in our efforts and all together we were able to donate about 250 lbs. of fish to the mission!!!
